(SOMEWHERE) editing my somewhere dark photo

This is my original photograph without any editing. What i want to do is just add some extra colour into the photo and make it look a little more out there!

I dont have very much experience with photoshop so i chose to spend some time just tinkering and messing around with the tools on photoshop for practice and to get an idea about each tool and what they do.
This is a print screen of the photo after i have used the posterize effect.

In this print screen i was changing the hue/saturation of the picture and this then gave me the idea to change the colour of just the sky in my photograph, i thought it would look good and if i could do it correctly look more realistic than just photoshopped in.
I made a rectangular section covering the sky which would be the only part of the photo to change colour, i then used the brush tool to erase the purple colour from where i did not want it. It took quite a while to have to zoom in and use a small brush diameter to go around the edges of the trees and the rays of light coming from the street lamps.

Then i decided to alter the hue/saturation of the grass in the photo, i did the same thing as i did to the sky. I made the grass a lighter green and brightened the highlights.
This is my finished edited photograph for "somewhere dark"
